Family Frolic 2018Sunday, October 14

We're gearing up to celebrate our third annual Family Frolic with parishioners and friends of our parish. The date of October 14 has been chosen since there is no Packer game that Sunday! We have already arranged to have Bill Jartz of WBAY-TV Channel 2 with us to conduct a live auction. Our day will include a meal, the live auction and a silent auction. Bucket raffles with prizes for all ages, and games for kids and adults alike. This is our largest fundraiser of the year, so we hope if you're reading this that you will plan to come and support us. Watch the parish bulletin for time and more details as they unfold.

 Fun & Faith 2018

Shipwrecked - Rescued by Jesus

July 16 - 20, 2018     8:30am - 11:30am

Fun and Faith was held at St. James Parish this past July.  It was a chance for our linked parish youth to come together and learn about their Catholic faith through games, Shipwrecked VBS Logomusic and fun. It was an excursion onto an uncharted tropical island for surprising adventures, incredible music, tropical treats, amazing experiments, creative games, and new friends.

Thank you to the amazing volunteers who made this program a success.

The 2018 campaign to support the ministries andservices of the Green Bay Diocese is now underway. If you've ever wondered why we need to support the diocese each year, please read this witness talk that was given at St. James on the weekend of April 7-8. Find out how St. James and all the Circle of Faith Churches benefit from our association with the Diocese, and how our faith needs to extend beyond our local church doors.

St. James Parish Goal:  $30,340.00

Steeple Repairs Completed

SOS Steeple logo  Our beautiful church and it's tall steeple are visible in the Cooperstown area for miles around in every direction. People have admired this steeple as a landmark for over 100 years. In the spring of 2017 we discovered some serious problems with the tower, and immediately began researching how to restore the steeple to it's former prominence. Those repairs begain during that summer, and have cost us more  than $100,000.

We began a "Save Our Steeple" campaign in October 2017 which will run through June 30, 2018. We are soliciting donations to preserve the steeple for generations to come, as a sign of God's love, peace, and forgiveness.  To read more about the steeple repairs, or to contribute to this current and vital need of St. James Parish, please click here.

On Tuesday, February 13,  2018 we had a Mardi Gras celebration before the start of Lent. A large crowd of all ages joined us for homemade soup, a variety of fresh salads, sloppy joes and delectable desserts. It was a relaxing and enjoyable time for all. The Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary

Hail, Mary! Full of grace, The Lord is with thee, Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
