It was 100 years ago in 1915 that people gathered at St. James Church in Cooperstown to offer a Mass dedicating the newly constructed St. James Church. After a horrific fire destroyed the church built of wood just one year earlier, it was time to celebrate together as a community. On Saturday, July 11, 2015 the congregation again gathered to mark this milestone of 100 years since the construction of the church. The church was re-dedicated to St. James, whose feastday is Juy 25.  Father Ron Colombo, former pastor, presided at a 4:00pm Mass followed by a pot-luck picnic on the parish grounds. There was a historical display with many items of memoribilia from years past, along with music by the CRS Band, and recognition of the oldest and youngest parishioners.  It was a great day of remembrance and promise for the future.

The Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary

Hail, Mary! Full of grace, The Lord is with thee, Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
