EucharistReception of the Eucharist:

Bishop David Ricken has announced that beginning Pentecost weekend, May 30-31, 2020, parishes throughout the diocese may begin offering Holy Communion Services with distribution of the Blessed Sacrament. St. James will offer this opportunity following the Live Stream Mass each Sunday morning from 9:00 until 10:30am.

Read the Procedures for St. James Church to participate in these Communion Servcies by clicking here.

For Your Protection:

Protective face masks are being sewn by parish ladies, and are available for free at the northeast church entrance. You may help yourself if you are in need of a mask, but please take only what you need in consideration of others.

Disinfecting spray equipment is being purchased by the parish for more thorough cleaning and disinfecting of pews, classrooms, doors, handrails, etc.

A ZOOM membership for St. James, just recently started, will allow us to conduct virtual gatherings, where people can attend and participate in meetings from the safety of their home.

Confessions:

A priest will be available for private confessions at St. James on Saturdays, from 6:00 - 7:00 pm.

These confessions will be heard in the Sacristy (where Father prepares before Mass) to allow for adequate distancing that the confessional does not provide.

Parish Mission Planning logo

There is an effort underway since fall of 2018 to re-define St. James Parish with the mission of the Dicoese in mind. Called Parish Mission Planning, there is a group of 5 parish leaders who are meeting monthly with members of the diocesan Curia to establish 3 to 5 goals that will help us to improve as a parish. For a list of the 20 areas that were considered for this effort, please click here

The goals that were chosen to focus on are:

        1. Survey parishioners about convenience of weekend Mass times

        2. Determine facility and grounds enhancements

        3. Engage more young adults

        4. Improve communication within and outside of parish boundaries

The Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary

Hail, Mary! Full of grace, The Lord is with thee, Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
