Prayer Chain

We are fortunate to have people within St. James Parish willing to pray for others who are in need. This is how the prayer chain operates:

A prayer chain member receives a prayer request from a friend, neighbor, co-worker, or even someone who is unfamiliar. They, in turn pass the prayer request by telephone through an alphabetical list of the members. The prayer intention can be confidential (please pray for a woman who is going to have serious surgery,) or they can be specific, stating names or other pertinent information. People on the prayer chain will pray for the intention in their own fashion – we do not prescribe any particular prayer format or amount of prayer time that members should adhere to. The intentions are also remembered anonymously at the Prayers of the Faithful at weekend Masses.

If you have a need that you would like prayed for through our parish prayer chain, please don’t hesitate to call one of the people below. They will spread your request to the rest of the prayer chain participants.

The Our Father

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. Amen

Hail Mary

Hail, Mary! Full of grace, The Lord is with thee, Blessed are thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now, and at the hour of our death. Amen

Glory Be

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen
